Clock in from the browser, the VergeHR app, a time clock at the door or a fingerprint reader. Lateness, overtime and timesheets are worked out from each person's shift — no spreadsheets.
Every day's status — present, late, half day, absent, on leave or a holiday — comes from the shift and the clock, so the timesheet is always right.
“Left for a client visit and forgot to clock out.”
Set the hours once. People clock in, VergeHR judges each day, and fixes go through your approvals — the timesheet updates itself.
| Employee | Worked | Late | Overtime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amy Kim | 176 h 10 m | — | 4 h 20 m |
| Owen Fisher | 171 h 45 m | 38 m | — |
| Sarah Miller | 152 h 00 m | — | — |
| Ben Archer | 180 h 30 m | 12 m | 8 h 30 m |
| Lina Ramos | 168 h 05 m | — | 1 h 05 m |
Set your hours and policies once — VergeHR applies them to every clock-in, every day.
Each day's status comes from the shift, the clock entries, leave and the Calendar's holidays — fix an entry and the timesheet fixes itself.
Forgotten clock-outs are closed after the hours you choose and flagged, so nobody works a 20-hour day by accident.
When someone is on the roster, their published shift becomes their working time — late, absent and overtime follow it.
The VergeHR app for iPhone and Android has the same clock — with the location recorded if your company turns it on.
Office, warehouse, shop floor or out in the field — every punch lands on the same timesheet.
Draw a circle around each site on the map. Clock-ins on the web and phone outside it are refused — or allowed and flagged. Field staff can be let clock in anywhere, and the Today board shows every clock-in on a map.
Turn any tablet at the door into a time clock. People type their badge number and PIN or scan the QR code on their badge; it can take a photo at every punch and keeps punches through short outages.
Fingerprint and face readers that push over the ZKTeco ADMS protocol send punches straight to VergeHR. Others can upload their attendance log or post punches through the API — every raw punch is kept.
Yes. The VergeHR app for iPhone and Android has the same clock as the web, and records the location if your company has turned that on.
They clocked in after their shift's start time plus its grace minutes. If someone works a published roster shift, that shift's start counts instead.
With automatic clock-out on, VergeHR closes the entry after the hours you choose and flags it. Otherwise they ask for a correction, which goes through your approvals.
Yes. Geofences only let people clock in on the web and phone inside the circles you draw around your sites — or let them and flag it. IP restrictions limit clocking to your own networks.
Yes. Devices that support ZKTeco's ADMS (iclock) push protocol send punches to VergeHR as they happen. Any other device's attendance log can be uploaded as a file, or sent through the punch API.
Yes. Open the VergeHR time clock on a tablet or computer and pair it once. People clock in with their badge number and PIN or by scanning their badge's QR code, and it can take a photo at each punch.
Yes. Approved leave and the Calendar's holidays are part of every day's status, so those days never count as absent.
